March 2020 has turned out to be quite an unprecedented month. We wanted to take a moment to reflect on the good times and express deep gratitude for our supporters.
On March 4 we hosted our annual 2020 Party + Auction in Kennewick – and what a night it was. It was a memorable evening of camaraderie for nearly 500 industry members committed to transforming the future of Washington wine.
From a 50/50 raffle to over 120 donated auction items, and the scholarships “fund-a-need” – over $220,000 was raised to meet industry needs!
The Party + Auction also included the release of the third annual “Collaboration Series”, which showcases a grower and vintner partnership to produce 25 cases of exclusive wine offered only by the Foundation. Series 3 features Jim and Richard Holmes of Ciel Du Cheval Vineyard and Ben Smith of Cadence Winery in Seattle, and cases are still available while supplies last.
Truly, we couldn’t have had a successful evening (or any fun) without the steadfast support of our sponsors, including Sphere Foods, Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Wilbur-Ellis, CliftonLarsonAllen, Four Feathers Wine Estates, Stoel Rives, Rabo AgriFinance, PolarClad, Andrew Will Winery, Succession Wines, and L’Ecole Winery.
Please save the date to plan on joining us at 2021 Party + Auction on Wednesday, February 10 in Kennewick.
It’s reflecting back on these memorable evenings that keeps us going. Evenings where we came together as an industry to celebrate Washington wine, its people, the hard work, the supportive community, and most of all, the future of the industry – this is what gives us the courage to face tough times. Because of all of you, our industry remains thriving for generations to come!
